Kristen Doering is a collaborative pianist based in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in solo piano performance from the University of Kansas and a Master of Music degree in collaborative piano from the Juilliard School where she studied with Margo Garrett, Jonathan Feldman and J.J. Penna. She currently holds the position of Grantmaking Associate at New Music USA, a group of passionate advocates for new music focused on what brings the community together in the first place: the music. She is also is the founder and Executive Artistic Director of Arts Fusion Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to innovative multidisciplinary programming and educational outreach.

In addition to her work at New Music USA, Ms. Doering has now opened her own teaching studio in Brooklyn, Whole Note Music Studio.
