Native New Yorker, violinist Maria Im, is a graduate of the Juilliard School where she obtained her Master of Music (M.M., '13) and Bachelor of Music (B.M., '11) as a student of Masao Kawasaki. She has had the opportunity to perform under conducting greats including Bernard Haitink, James Levine, Lorin Maazel, and Alan Gilbert.
 
Currently based in NYC, she has performed in Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Avery Fisher Hall. Maria’s passion for cross-genre and non-classical music has her frequently recording and performing in venues including Radio City Music Hall, Le Poisson Rouge, and Blue Note Jazz Club.
 
Most recent performance opportunities include a 4-month long performance tour on Holland America Cruise Lines in affiliation with Lincoln Center Stage and a 10 day artist residency at MostArts Music Festival in Alfred, NY.
